AOL buying Red Hat?

I read on the Register web site that negotiations are going on for AOL to purchase Red Hat. If the deal happens, will MUUG still support Red Hat ?

RedHat 7.1. On boot up, it hangs starting ipchains firewall settings. If I do an interactive startup, I can bypass all my network stuff and xfont server. This lets me into the system. However, I will sonner or later lose my prompt, and be able to do nothing. I can find no documenation anywhere on this type of problem, and 3 individuals who I've talked to about this are stumped. Any ideas? Feel free to call me voice at 888-0452.

Wrong Address E mail

I got an e-mail today addressed to someone else. It was aimed at someone with a @hotmail account. I don't have a @hotmail account. The e-mail had an address totally different from mine, but I ended up with it. Advertising for some wretched diet scheme. Why would an ISP send one of its clients e-mail not addressed to that client ? Is it a server problem or the client's mail software? Or perhaps, internet voodo?

I'm currently using awstats on AIX. Very very easy to install and it gives me all the stats that I need. I did try to compile webalizer, but I was missing a bunch of c libraries. So being as lazy as I am, I installed awstats instead of searching for the missing libs.
