I'm currently using awstats on AIX. Very very easy to install and it gives me all the stats that I need. I did try to compile webalizer, but I was missing a bunch of c libraries. So being as lazy as I am, I installed awstats instead of searching for the missing libs. I have looked around for Apache log analysis tools and found; Webalizer, AWStats, and Perl WebStats. Anyone have any preferences, experiences with these packages or other software. Brock

mouse failure on bootup

G'Day, Summary: Mouse does not function in KDE or Gnome after reboot. Configuration: RedHat 7.2 Kernel 2.4.9-13 Xconfigurator-4.9.39-1 mouseconfig-4.23-1 microsoft serial mouse com1 Description: In order to enable the mouse in either KDE or Gnome mouseconfig and Xconfigurator where used after a workstation installation of RedHat 7.2. Everything functions normally. When the system is rebooted, Xconfigurator must be run in order to enable the mouse. This same problem existed with RedHat 7.1 installation. I am open to suggestions. PATH problem

How do I make an entry to the Red Hat 7.1 system wide PATH ? I've looked up /etc/profile and it doesn't look like something that should be edited. Besides, I can't see a typical PATH line to edit. So I took a look at /root/.bash_profile and it looks more like what I'm used to. But that's only good for loggin in root and I don't always do that. I'm used to Slackware where all you have to do is edit the /etc/profile file to add a program to the system wide PATH. What do I have to do in Red Hat 7.1 to add something like /usr/local/Slab/effects to the PATH ? And what file records the PATH? Any hints would be appreciated.

Detillieux) The Manitoba UNIX User Group (MUUG) will be holding its next monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 8. The meeting topic for this month is as follows: Mac OS X - A UNIX Operating System? This presentation will describe the BSD-UNIX underpinnings (Darwin) which comprise Apple's latest operating system, and the differences between Apple's GUI (Quartz & Aqua) running on UNIX and X-Windows. The presenter for this month will be Douglas Hamilton, Apple Product Professional at the University of Manitoba. The group holds its general meetings at 7:30 PM on the second Tuesday of every month from September to June. (There are no meetings in July and August.) Meetings are open to the general public; you don't have to be a MUUG member to attend. ********************************************************************** Please note our new meeting location: The IBM offices, at 400 Ellice Ave. (between Edmonton and Kennedy).
