Thought I might ask if anyone knows where I might get a high powered PCIe or PCI wireless card. I've seen the Alfa USB's and they have a nice 2 watt adapter ( AWUS036NHR ), decided to order one up and try it out but I'd still really like a internal variant. Anyone?
Thanks, Paul

Weird wireless is so hard to find retailers for in Canada, I find. Directional stuff too. If you do find a Canadian source, for sure let us all know here.
From my suppliers I see I could get for you 2 items, but they're both
USB. I have no idea if the prices are crap or not, as I don't usually deal in these items, but I can get them (no stock, may take a while).

That's some pretty mean antennae on the StartTech one.
Oh, I guess there's this PCI, but the "RangeMax" might just be marketing, and not real higher power (looks cool though):

Also, for what it's worth, I find the $200-$350 access points are worth every penny if you're wanting to do "weird" things like crazy range. You look at the specs between a $300 and $50 WAP and wonder what you're paying for, but I've sold so many of both and the $300 ones are simply incredible. They just work; they just don't drop & fail connections like the cheap ones do.
