SpamAssassin false positives on DATE_IN_FUTURE_96_Q?

I mentioned this problem at the last round-table session, but didn't get a solution, so I thought I'd post it here, just in case anyone has any suggestions to offer. I'm still seeing a whole bunch of false positives in SpamAssassin, since an update was installed in mid-September on a CentOS 5.7 system, for a rule called DATE_IN_FUTURE_96_Q, which is only supposed to be triggered when the "Date:" header has a date that is 4 days to 4 month ahead of the date in the "Received" header that has the _smallest_ difference in date. Here are the headers from the latest e-mail I've received with this false-positive. (I've stripped out irrelevant headers, for the sake of clarity and simplicity.) Awwwwww. Raspberry Pi?

The "Awwwwwww" part: I think my SheevaPlug is dead. It stopped responding to SSH (or, well, ping), and when I tried connecting via the funky USB/serial port, my PC doesn't even detect that the SheevaPlug is plugged in, let alone attempt a connection via PuTTY. Note: the power light comes on steady, as do both the green and amber lights on the Ethernet port. So, what are my options? 1. Maybe it's the power supply. These ones are known for going bad. Anyone want to try to fix it? Hey -- that would be a cool presentation: Fix a SheevaPlug PS in real-time and see if we can get the thing to boot! Okay, maybe not. 2. Buy another SheevaPlug? Too expensive for my budget. 3. Buy a Raspberry Pi? Can you get them locally? Or order them online from a reputable Canadian supplier? Discuss.

Hard drives

I need to replace my (degraded mode :-( ) 2 TB RAID 5 array ASAP. I'd like ~3 TB of usable space and RAID 1 is preferred over RAID 5/6. Would anyone like to suggest replacement drives? Kevin

Small Linux distro?

I have a Pentium III 1 GHz (?) laptop with 512 MB (?) RAM and a 80 GB (?) hard drive, 1024x768 display. Which distro would run half-decently on this, with GUI/desktop?

Is there anything useful that can be done with this device? It has no wireless; it's just a wired router in a nice little orange and blue metal box. Come to think of it, you might be able to fit a Raspberry Pi in it! Anyone want one or several? Kevin

Once the mailman software has had its way with your message, it is no longer the same (identical) message so that isn't the case in any event. However, you're the third person lately to complain about missing their own posts. Gilbert/Bill, is it possible the list default setting for self-copy got changed? Dimensional hard drives?

Ever double-check an assumption, only to find it false, and feel like the rug just got yanked out from under your feet? Go measure the width of a so-called 3.5" hard drive. Yeah, go ahead. It's 4" wide. Now go measure the width of a so-called 2.5" hard drive. Uh-huh... it's 2.75" wide. I just (re-?)discovered that and felt just as cheated as when I found out that the nominal sizes of dimensional lumber are complete B.S.! I knew this once upon a time, but I guess I forgot... 5.25" & 3.5" refer to the fact that it fits into the bay where you would have been able to fit a floppy drive accommodating the corresponding-size floppy disk. I can't find any derivation for why we call a 2.75" drive a 2.5" drive, since there's no such thing as a 2.5" floppy[1]! Perhaps the internal platter is 2.5" wide? (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_disk_drive#Form_factors) -Adam [1] OK, yes, there a 2.5" floppy did exist briefly, but it was never any sort of standard and I've never seen one in person AFAIK. FYI, the Sony micro-floppy format was not 2.5", it was 90mm (closer to 2", anyway).

I also measured an 8 inch floppy (am I a packrat or what?) and it is 8 inches wide. I suppose the 5 1/4 inch drive was supposed to hold a 5 1/4 inch floppy. At least that would make the name logical.
