Sorry for off topic posting.
Does anyone know of a place where I can get a battery replaced for an early 2015 MacBook Pro? It gets a very low repairability score, and I don’t want to try it myself.
You may be eligible for a FREE replacement direct from Apple for some 2015 era MacBook Pros!
/Apple has determined that, in a limited number of older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro units, the battery may overheat and pose a fire safety risk. Affected units were sold primarily between September 2015 and February 2017 and product eligibility is determined by the product serial number./
Try typing in your serial number on this website: https://support.apple.com/15-inch-macbook-pro-battery-recall
Worth a shot?
Otherwise if you are willing to pay the Apple Tax, I am sure they will gladly take your money at the Apple Store for a new battery?
And as much as everyone seems to hate Apple, they are very much on-topic as they are the most popular *NIX based laptop ever created!
:P
If you aren't eligible for Apple service (per Brad's post), I've had good luck with Mobile Tech Lab. They've moved from way out Portage Ave. and are now at the corner of Main St. and Mountain Ave. Wait, their website says they're now on Corydon... YMMV. The sign is still up on Main St., I don't know where they are any more. But I got good service, albeit on a cell phone.

I just had my 2013 Macbook Pro battery replaced due to swelling. Took it to Apple in Polo Park. They charged me $290 with taxes, no labor fees, and they replaced the keyboard and trackpad at no cost.
