Eurocom has been making Xeon laptops for about 5yrs already but quite expensive. Nice machines, though. Oh, I see that main memory isn't ECC, although the nvidia vram is...
Holy crap, a maxed-out Lenovo P70 lists for over $10k!!!

Looking at their site, they also have the new P50 lone which is 15" instead of 17" from the P70 line.
Only the top of the line model has the xeon, but even it's only $2400 and it comes with a 4K display. The only thing they don't offer that I would miss is the 9-cell battery upgrade. At this price it could actually make a viable replacement for a xeon workstation.

Now you can get ECC in a laptop, without spending tons (but still
lots) of
money. Lenovo's new P70 line has optional Xeon and ECC.
They claim to be the "First ever Intel Xeon power in a mobile" but of course we know some smaller outfits have made Xeon/ECC laptops for
years
now. But, this probably is the first "name brand" Xeon/ECC laptop.

You have to look at the highest-end ones to get ECC. Also, 4 RAM
slots is
nice.
Note, I do sell Lenovo, but am posting this just as an FYI since I
know a
lot of us discuss ECC on a regular basis. _______________________________________________ Roundtable mailing list Roundtable@muug.mb.ca http://www.muug.mb.ca/mailman/listinfo/roundtable
