This may not be news to some, but (from my perspective) this is a step in the right direction. There has been a lot of fuss inside ibm over the years to "give" the lotus office suite to the open source community. The main issue has been with some code IBM does not technically own being in the various products. It sounds like they may have found a way to make it happen...
