Google Earth points within circle/object

Odd question - but I'll ask if anyone else has done such a thing ... Using google earth pro on PC ... Can't seem to find an easy solution to this one ... I have a bunch of points on a map that were geocoded by address .. and I have this circle (radius 50km or such) I drew on the map ... I want to know the number of points that are within this circle -- optionally also want to extract these /save them to extrapolate out the attached meta data on the points ... anyone do such a thing … [View More]

Raspberry Pi for network storage?

I want to get a _very_ light weight "computer" to act as a controller for some local storage. Basically a DIY Network Attached Storage that burns very little power. It's primary purpose in life would be to save video from a security camera. Is Raspberry Pi still a good option, or has there been other competitors in this space that might be a better choice? I literally put thousands of hours on a IBM thinkpad A31p. Enough hours to polish the keys smooth. As mentioned before the keyboard quality was key ( couldn't resist 8-) ). So Lenovo/Thinkpad is where I'd go again. I have also put a lot of hours on Dell XPS 15 inch laptop that has held up to constant use. So I'd look there again for another laptop. Brock

wayland has no support for --geometry

Ugh (rant time)... Wayland is sounding uglier with each passing day. Long may I postpone its existence on my boxen. Now I find out that by design(!!) wayland does not support any type of --geometry option for programmatically placing windows at certain locations on screen. For instance, I have a script that opens up about 20 windows in workspaces the way I like them sized/positioned, for use after I have to reboot. Hi, I am a new member again; I was a Member a long time ago and am wondering if someone would be able to help set up Kubuntu on my laptop. Many years ago (early 2000) I had Kubuntu running on my computer. But at one update I lost my printer setup and have not been able to get it working again. Also all the password requests that pop up have caused some confusion.
