ext3 fs corrupted

I installed FC9 a few weeks ago but I have ended up with the root fs corrupted. I did see a reference to coming out of hibernation with a different kernel can corrupt the file system. I suspect that was my problem since I believe the auto update did apply a new kernel and I did hibernate last night. But of course it could have been some other cause. fsck suggests trying fsck -b 8193 ... When I tried fsck with -b I get a message about the Device is busy. Any suggestions? Since most of the work on the system that I have done is installing and configuring software I am inclined to just start over. -- Bill

Request for articles

Since it's a little quite today I figure it would be a good time to post the request. Call-A.P.P.L.E. is a free magazine with articles on the Apple//, Mac, and *NIX platforms. At this point it is produced completely on a volunteer basis (I don't have access to the graphics or ads which normally appear in the magazine.). Currently I'm the guy in charge of producing the magazine. It will be put together during the first weekend of August. It will then be posted to http://members.shaw.ca/digitalcivilization/ within the following week or so. Our regular site (http://callapple.org) is having troubles at the moment. If anybody would care to write an article (or advertise), they can contact me at the e-mail address I used to send the message. Later Mike

Who wants a Sentry R2000 power unit?

I have a Server Technology Sentry R2000 unit to give away. 2x120v/15A inputs, 8 outputs (4 outputs/input).
