This 4-minute video is hilarious!  But, it also highlights a pet peeve of
mine - that the current crop of programming languages for the Web are a
bunch of trash cobbled together by cowboys and other amateurs.  PHP is
notoriously in that camp, with its details changing (backward
non-compatible to some degree) with every new whole-number version.

A noteworthy exception is Java (not JavaScript), which was designed by real
computer scientists at Sun a few decades ago.

The other current and near-current "real" languages (but not Web-specific
languages) are of course C, C++, C#, Ada, and even MS Basic.

A similar parallel (pun accidental) exists in control panels.  The world's
most popular one is cPanel (and its WHM other half), cobbled together by
Texas cowboys - real junk!  The best control panel is Parallels Plesk,
designed by some top-notch real programmers in Russia.
