I'm seeing more and more counter-fit or unauthorized distribution channels all the damned time.

Picked up a pile of drives from CBIT last year and 25% of them were from Thailand and their warranty's were not honoured outside of Asia/Pacific.
Now we do warranty lookups on every drive we order.
