[*] Internet costs in Hong Kong

A friend living in Hong Kong was saying,

"FYI, for a 2 year contract, I pay about HK$160 (CAD $20 these days) for a
200Mbps fibre-into-the-house connection, and it comes with 2 cable (actually
IPTV carried over the same fibre) channels (AXN & HBO) as sign-on bonus.

My unlimited 3G cell phone plan is HK$450 per month again for a 2 year contract,
the iPhone 4 comes "free"."

I guess the higher population density makes fiber installation cheaper but the
price still seems very cheap.
