[*] Off Topic: 1-Wire temperature monitoring

I seem to recall someone in this group was an expert on using 1-Wire ?

I'd like to build a home-grown weather station. Can someone give me some
tips on where to get the parts and how to get started.

So far all the examples I've found on line are pretty vague. The are
obviously written by people with a lot of hobbyist experience building
circuits etc.
