[*] codecs within asterisk

Hey,

G.711 also known as ulaw, or pcmu (known as G.711 hens forth) IS the
same codec that is used on the PSTN for voice T1. GSM is more along the
quality of cellular service, another popular codec is G.729 and is
closer to the quality of GSM.

G.711 is 64 kbps but once you tack on ethernet and IP overhead you end
up with 95.2kbps (one way)

25 active calls at one time would use 2.38mbps in both directions. And
also once you go over half your available bandwidth your latency also
starts to increase. With 320kbps up you would be able to have 3 calls at
one time.
