In my reading, after unlocking the PAP2 with the Sipura firmware, it is
noted that you should factory reset with the Sipura firmware on the device
before putting the Linksys branding back in.

Some users were reporting that if you do a factory reset with the Linksys
branding, without doing the reset with the Sipura firmware, that the Linksys
will revert back to the Vonage locked state,

But with the new firmware that fixes the hole, allowing the firmware change
in the first place.

This could just be rumor, but I thought I would throw it out there, as not
all of the "How-To" guides mention it.
