I only received one copy of your message even through the header is:

To: billreid at shaw.ca
Cc: asterisk at muug.mb.ca

Perhaps mailman sees that the header contains a direct send so it skips sending 
via the list. In any case my tests and the message you sent would indicate that 
it is 1 message not 2  (which is nice).
