I'm running Mandrake 8.1 with ProFTP, and I'm connected to DSL via an OvisLink SR-801E router. Router is set to point port 21 to the right internal IP, but when you try to log in from outside the local network, you get "500 P@SW NOT UNDERSTOOD ERROR OPENING DATA SOCKET".
I'm guessing that his is due to the IP the user is logging into, and the actual internal IP of the FTP server box. Can anyone point me towards the resolution?
Thanks.......
Solution found. Take of PASV in on the user's prog. Sorry for wasting time with a dumb question... :/
