I'm looking a for a pair of small mikrotik or similar wireless APs that'll support L2 bridging (client mode). Any band or speed would be acceptable.

I would specifically warn you about the HAP Lite b/c they don't have enough storage on board to upgrade ... which then becomes an issue when you need to upgrade for (any) reason.
The l2 bridging things you can do on a Mikrotik are amazing though. Just check for devices that only have 16MB of flash.. they'll have a more limited life.

They have enough storage on board to upgrade for now as the firmware is ~11MB. In a few years, they may be constrained once the firmware gets close to the ~16MB limit.
