I'm in dire need of having two, maybe three CATV coax cables terminated. Does anyone have the ends and tool(s) for this in S. St. Vital or vicinity? Or downtown tomorrow?

The twist on ones would do in a pinch but if that cable needs to last a bit I'm happy to give you some compression fittings and lend the relevant tools.
On second though, Colin, are you still game to help me out? :-) Let me know if/when you have some time this week any evening (sooner the better, of course). If you're busy, I'll try the twist-on ones as a stop-gap measure. I think I only have one that's critical (SAF).

I tried the twist-on connectors, twice, and I'm getting poor to no signal. There are several possibilities. Operator, connector, cable... The connectors I got are "RG6". What are the odds that the wire is RG59 and the mismatch is a problem? The cable is pretty old and is that beigey colour. It's unmarked.
Another alternative is to buy the 30m pre-made cable I saw at Home Depot and use that.
