Hey everyone,
As it turns out I didn't have to go very far in terms of testing the network issue I described at the meeting last night.
* Connect laptop to port in question. * No link light. * Grab new cable that is premade. Replace. * No link light. * Wiggle cable. Entire port on switch moves up and down with cable. * Link light.

Ha, well, at least there is an easy fix for that, though it involves soldering. That *definitely* will void your lifetime warranty!
PS: the ports are usually aggregated in terms of the solder joints (usually in groups of 8) so one port going could indicate the adjacent ports may go later.
