Has anyone used both RAID and LVM in combination? I'm wondering whether there is any preference to setting up the RAID device first, then using LVM on top of that, versus setting up LVM then putting RAID on the LVM volumes. Does that make any sense?
I just set up two drives in RAID 1 and they're resynching now. I was going to set up LVM on /dev/md0 once that's done. Are there any disadvantages to this?
