Has anyone here installed, successfully or not? If so, what device? Strongly considering doing this on my Pixel2, but it requires a custom compile, as the device is not in the official support list. I would also consider something other than Lineage, if anyone has recommendations.
I opted not to install lineage/postmarket/cyanogen on my previous phone, purely because some of the hardware facilities wouldn't work properly - at least that's what my research told me. That was a Samsung S6, mind you. Something to do with proprietary binary drivers for the camera and wifi IIRC, could be remembering incorrectly tho. I havn't looked into the Pixel2's compatibility, but I'm definitely interested to see if it works out for you. -Troy On Mon, Sep 23, 2019 at 7:59 AM Scott Toderash <scott@100percenthelpdesk.com> wrote:

Also check out Carbon Rom. ---- On Mon, 23 Sep 2019 09:19:39 -0600 trdenton@gmail.com wrote ---- I opted not to install lineage/postmarket/cyanogen on my previous phone, purely because some of the hardware facilities wouldn't work properly - at least that's what my research told me. By coincidence, there is a story on Slashdot today about a recent Lineage fork called '/e/'. https://linux.slashdot.org/story/19/09/25/2129247/the-e-google-free-pro-priv... On Mon, Sep 23, 2019 at 12:35 PM Adam Thompson <athompso@athompso.net> wrote:

I think /e/ looks promising. Good to hear that some others have had success with Lineage. The sticky bit for me is that my phone is not on the official support list. I read that I can probably make it work, but I am expecting some major feature doesn't work, otherwise it would be listed. /e/ sells refurbished phones preinstalled, which I think is a great idea. Only shipping in Europe right now, and they were ~ €450 Buying a working phone is a good move. Mainly because I need to have a spare before I try something like this anyway.
