Can you go into more details about the history of mobile service gouging and MTS privatization in Manitoba? As I didn't arrive in Winnipeg until after that event, I missed out on learning the context.

Manitobans have never had the most expensive cell service in Canada. But just like MPI, we cherish and hold dear the myth that we are paying too much compared to our neighbors. That doesn't mean we aren't *all* getting gouged!
If you look at Canadian prices compared to other nations, we consistently rank not only in the bottom quartile, but very near the bottom *of* the bottom quartile for prices, no matter which specific service you look at.
