I usually buy cable from either FS.com or primecable.com. If you have a PST# you can get it faster w/o shipping at Anixter or EECOL or any other electrical distributor.
Cat 6/6A/7 is good if you want to run multi-gig or 10GBASE-T. *Significantly* harder to work with and terminate compliantly than Cat5e - strongly recommend the "self-terminating" jacks both M and F if you go that route.
IMHO, YMMV, etc.
What's the going price for a 1000' box of Cat 6 cable? Is there a good place to buy it in Winnipeg, or order online? I'm thinking of running some network cable in my house, most likely 1 GbE. I had previously used Cat 5E. Should I stick with
that instead of 6?
