So I checked out their website "The Manitoba Internet Exchange is a not-for-profit corporation mandated to act as a junction between multiple IP networks. Its members are able to directly connect with one another over an unmetered ethernet connection, to exchange local Internet traffic. "So I am a bit confused as to why anyone would want to do this.
What is gained by this?
