Sysctl to make sure v6 is disabled?

Looking in /var/log/exim4/paniclog, I see
2011-11-11 19:52:02 IPv6 socket creation failed: Address family not supported by protocol

I'm not using IPv6; I don't know exim. Any pointers on how to resolve this, aside from replacing exim?
