Is it as easy as

apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

and logging out/in (or rebooting)? Are there any gotchas to look out for? I've installed a couple of apps, specifically VMware Workstation and Google Chrome. Will they continue to work transparently? That is, I don't need to re-install them, do I?
