Some Sun machines ( Including the V490 ) have RSC built-in.

A nice list is available on this site: http://setaoffice.com/2008/01/29/how-to-access-the-baseboard-management-controller-on-sun-servers/

Effectively an IP gets assigned to the RSC card ( in my understanding ) - I've only used LOM.

At work we have a Sun SunFire V490 test machine (with dev/production coming late summer). I'd like to access the console (e.g. for boot PROM access) remotely via network. Is there a built-in way to do that, similar to HP's iLO (integrated Lights-Out) management port? Or do I need some kind of serial->LAN adapter? Or just set up a PC running Linux beside it? :-)  We've got lots of those kicking around!
