Cat 6/6A/7 is good if you want to run multi-gig or 10GBASE-T. *Significantly* harder to work with and terminate compliantly than Cat5e - strongly recommend the "self-terminating" jacks both M and F if you go that route.

Subject: [RndTbl] Cat 6 cableWhat's the going price for a 1000' box of Cat 6 cable? Is there a good place to buy it in Winnipeg, or order online? I'm thinking of running some network cable in my house, most likely 1 GbE. I had previously used Cat 5E. Should I stick with that instead of 6?
